There was a buzz in the air today as news broke of Maine finalizing a deal with star starting pitcher Antosha Sedenko.

The deal, worth an estimated $2,920,000 over 7 years, is being hailed by media analysts and could be a popular one with the Maine fans. The consensus is that Sedenko will contribute a lot to the team.

Sedenko has chalked up a lifetime ERA of 2.63 with 73 victories and 22 defeats. He has totaled 876 career strikeouts in 838 innings while holding opponents to a .237 batting average.
Veteran Blythe Agrees to 3-Year Deal

Feedback was positive in Oakland today as the club announced an agreement with reliever Nelson Blythe, one of the league's marquee players.

Blythe has pitched in 179 games over his career, registering 15 saves and a 21-23 won-lost mark. He has an ERA of 3.31 in 225.2 innings and 226 strikeouts.
