With first baseman Pauli Hatig leading the charge, the London Metros defeated the Vienna Black Eagles, 5-3, at London Stadium. Hatig, who is tied for 10th in the CEB with a .831 OPS, was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Lars Martin converted his 6th save in 10 tries. London is now 32-34, Vienna 43-23.

Hatig had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Metros went on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said London manager Jonathan Mace.
